These machines are specially designed for processing parts that require multiple holes drilled at various entry angles, such as cooling hole applications for turbine components. The stationary work table has excellent weight carrying capacity and stability for supporting oversize work pieces. The machine system combines the high speed EDM drilling technology of our Astec products coupled with a gantry style machine design. A direct drive rotary, DDR, motor rotates the Astec EDM head +/ - 110° from vertical. The Astec EDM head is directly coupled to the DDR with no mechanical belts or gears.
