They follow the pilot hole better which means straighter holes. Belmont's High Speed Drills are offered in both short flute (fast spiral) and long flute (regular spiral) to give you maximum performance on any graphite electrode drilling job. When drilling deeper flush holes, the long flute drills will clear the chips faster.
