SY-4060 CNC High Speed Drilling Machine The SY-4060 CNC model is the latest in a proven line of affordable Belmont hole drills. Features include; full 3-axis CNC with a Windows CE operating system, conversational G/M code programming, Ethernet networking and optional Automatic Electrode Change capability (AEC).
The SY-4060 Control and quick response Z Axis AC Servo motor, along with the standard triplex, three plunger high pressure dielectric pump, combine features that create a system to remove the disintegrated material rapidly, promoting smaller, faster, and deeper drilling possibilities. The built in microprocessor assures clean entrance holes by approaching the part with low electrode power, then increasing to full power in a three-step sequence. This produces a small controlled initial spark, reducing burrs and work surface scars caused by molten splatter. The Auto-Z feature is built into the control resets zero on the Z-axis at the first spark, compensating for electrode wear. Programming the depth of cut, retract stroke and machine settings are all accomplished from the control. Precision linear bearing ways with closed loop glass scales are used on the X & Y axis with display on the control panel, for ease of positioning. Machine shown with optional 20-position Electrode Changer (SY-4050T)

Optional AEC (Automatic Electrode Changer)The SY-4060 CNC can be equipped with a 20-position electrode changer for complete automated operation. This machine option takes 100mm from the X-axis for Electrode Change Operation, hence designation SY-4050T.
MACHINE CONTROL The control is mounted in a pendant station with a 10.4” LCD display and keypad using a Windows CE Operating System, Intel Celeron 400mhz processor and dual non-volatile Compact Flash memory suited for the industrial environment. Programs are written in absolute or incremental format using an easy conversational text language and can be loaded through a Standard Windows Ethernet connection (RJ45), USB Jump Drive, USB disc drive or MDI entry from the keypad Control features include: - DRO display and AEC status (when installed).
- Programmable G and M codes.
- 6 co-ordinate system allows for up to six individual jobs to be programmed and run consecutively in a single set up.
- Background editing allows editing of another program while the machine is running.
- Work piece alignment compensation.
- Auto program restart after pause.
- Blind hole routine.
 - Circular and rectangular hole pattern routines.
- Easy center find routines and edge find.
- Crash Protection.
- Programmable soft limits.
- I/O for the addition of auxiliary axes, rotary, index etc.
- Stack Light Status Indicator.
Optional Electrode Management & AEC (Automatic Electrode Changer) The SY-4050T machine with AEC has the additional feature of a system that keeps track of each electrode, when an electrode is used up the machine automatically loads the next one and continues the programmed operation. Electrode sizes from 0,3mm to 3,0mm can be used with the YT-4060 in both brass or Copper. OPTIONS
AEC (Automatic Electrode Changer) The SY-4060 CNC can be equipped with a 20-position electrode changer for a completely automated operation. Please note that this option takes 100mm from the X-axis for Electrode Change Operation, hence designation SY-4050T. Standard with this option is a set of 20 Collet Holders and 80 Collets. CLOSED LOOP FILTRATION/CHILLER UNIT Ebbco Closed Loop Filter System consisting of corrosion resistant clean and dirty tanks with 1 cubic foot stainless steel deionizer tank and a stainless steel filter unit (5 micron paper cartridge type) mounted on 2' x 4' metal platform. Powered by a one HP Pump the system is complete with all the necessary controls, piping and wiring. The system has a 50-gallon capacity, which is charged with regular city water (no additives required) and cycled for a while to prepare the dielectric for machining. This minimizes the need to dispose of dirty dielectric water and eliminates the potential environmental issues. Temperature is kept constant with a chiller (optional) and the conductivity can be preset and monitored for efficient operation.

WARRANTYAll Belmont machines are guaranteed to be free of defects in material or workmanship or items will be replaced free of charge for a period of one year from receipt in your plant. All auxiliary components supplied by other manufacturers' will be covered under that manufacturer’s warranty unless otherwise stated. INSTALLATION Belmont pricing includes installation and start up of the machine. A Belmont Service Technician will start-up the equipment at your facility and do in-house training on the machine, unless otherwise specified. This is usually accomplished in 2 to 3 days. Machine uncrating, positioning, leveling, and electrical hook up are the responsibility of the customer prior to our technician’s arrival. Belmont Service and Support comes from our Michigan Headquarters and our California office. A comprehensive inventory of spares is kept at the Michigan facility for overnight delivery if necessary. Technical support is also available over the phone to our customers during normal working hours.
